My tbr7 upgrade journey

Hey yall. So decided Im gonna do a complete overhaul on my tbr7 and was gonna document it here(Will list specific parts with links for those interested). Background, blew up my original motor. Going a full and true super moto build. Starting with a 2023 Tbr7. Granted its going to be a while and not something overnight as I dont make a lot of money.



Front rim:
Csc sg250 17" (same axle length, diameter and everything assume it will fit well if not modifications to the spacers/rotors. Possibly a new bracket needed for the break caliper)

Maybe a fork brace?
I dont use a speedometer at all, so more than likely will just fully delete the cable.



New motor:
Leaning most towards this. Zongshen ZS175FMN 6 speed, counter balanced, 75x61.4mm or 275cc ish (possibly also called a pr300?)

Assuming I will need to fabricate new motor mounts, but the mouting points seem similiar that it should be possible. Maybe just the front mounts

As well as a 13 tooth 520 chain front sprocket running stock rear sprocket (I believe a 35?)
More than likely will swap the current electrical system I have over.



Carb:
Found one really really dirt cheap on facebook marketplace
Smartcarb sc2 28mm.

(granted new they are extremely expensive, might be able to find used ones on ebay or facebook marketplace, got mine used for $100)

Adjusts the richness/leaness without jets by just turning a nob on top. As well as not needing to adjust for altitude (supposedly)


New plate mount and rear fender delete:
Just took a hacksaw to the rear fender underneath the tail light, cut down the plastic, sanded it out and made it flush. Repuposed the piece of metal that orignally held the plate on, hammered it straight, bent it at an angle and mounted it to where the burrito tube normally was. Plenty of clearance for the chain and tire even with a 130.



Bars:
Thinking about running clip ons for a more tucked position. May just adjust and set the stock bars differently for better stability and crash protection.



Levers:
Angle grinded and bent them to shorty one finger pull.

I highly recommend a fork brace, worked wonders for my TBR7
