These DLX bikes are too new and parts for them aren't available yet. Even things like installing resisters to cure lean condition or even being able to make changes to the ECM are not really available either. I wish I would have purchased the standard Carbed version because those have been around for a long time and parts and mods are widely available.

I'd leave it alone, the O2 sensor is a necessary part of making any EFI function well.

Leave the O2 sensor in place. You can add a resister inline to the IAT sensor to trick the ECU into thinking the intake air temperature is cooler that it actually is which will make it run richer. Since no one on here has actually done it i can't give you the resister value needed. Resisters are cheap. you could buy an assortment of resisters and start some trial and error testing. Do some Google research. You might run across a forum on tuning small cc EFI engines. It really isn't rocket science. Believe me, if I had an EFI Hawk i would of done the testing myself.

Cheap and easy race car solution - If it runs without the sensor plugged in, then try that.

Most single sensor O2 setups operate rich in open loop mode while the motor is cold.

Programmable ECU

Buy/Build a programmable ECU, I think you have Delphi EFI?
Having a programmable ECU you make the engine what you
want it to be. WARNING I have made engines POOF!

What happens when the motor is warmed up and hot?

with the O2 sensor unplugged,...it will still be in open loop,..which is the reason for leaving it unplugged. until the plugged-in sensor gets up to temperature, it will not go to closed loop.

When it warms up, it goes to closed loop where it adjusts fuel mix based on air/fuel ratio in exhaust. When cold, the amount of fuel injected is determined by the throttle position sensor.

Haven’t had a chance to go hands on with a dlx yet though, so basing my responses from car world experience.
