19" Aluminum Front Wheel

I had a 1989 Honda NX250 Parts bike laying around, and it had a good 19" Aluminum front wheel, so I thought I'd try my hand at lacing up a wheel (always wanted to try it)
So I ordered a front Hub from CSC and once it arrived, I disassembled the NX250 wheel, and cleaned up the spokes, and laced the rim up onto the RX-3 Hub (the NX250's Spokes seem like they are going to be fine) I've got it laced up, but will probably work a little more on it to get it trued up a little better...

I REALLY need to get some good spoke wrenches, using a small adjustable is very slow... :(

I've got a Shinko 244 tire ordered for it (the old NX250 tire was an original 1989 tire! ), I hope it and the new tube get here this week, so I can try it out

Lacing the rim really wasn't all that difficult, truing it is a little tedious, but doable.

Great job! I bet a set of light, aluminum wheels really improves road feel. Let us know how you like it when you get it installed.

I think you'll really like it. I have the 19" steel wheel from CSC, and I love the larger size. Helps correct the speedometer and still has great road manners.

Great idea!

Is the RX3 hub identical to the NX250 hub?

I imagine if the hubs were "identical" he wouldn't of had to un-lace the NX and re-lace the RX3 hub. Too bad they're not identical. But at least they require the same number of spokes.

The same number of spokes, and the NX250 spokes seem to work for the RX-3 hub (I'll wait until it is completely trued to say that for sure), so all I had to purchase was the RX-3 hub ...I could have used the one from the 18" wheel, but I wanted to have both the 18 and the 19" wheels
