Sounds like you got a set for a bike that came with 7/8" bars that you are upgrading to 1-1/8" bars. I'd send them back for exchange.
They will probably work fine, but the correct ones will the better.

I believe you are right. I got them from Winyouchanook in Thailand, so returning them is probably not an option.

I have the same risers. I have no reservations about the gap. The bolts wrenched down tight will be fine.

Here's my long overdue review of Winyoochanook's risers.

They're designed to convert 7/8" bars to 1 1/8" fat bars, but they work just fine with ours. They raise the bars about an inch higher and bring them in an inch or so toward the rider.

After a week riding them on street and dirt, I can say they're very stable in all conditions and work great. However, although I liked the rise, I didn't like the new pullback. The new location brought the bars right against my tank bag, making it hard to reach the release under the front. Also, I'm very comfortable with the stock reach and there was no advantage for me to bring it closer.

They were cheap enough, but they raise the bars less than I thought ... about half an inch. I'll try them this weekend off road and see how I like them.

I have the Yoo risers as well. I actually like the pull back but tonight I mounted my new wider CSC handlebars and there is not enough slack in the switch harnesses. I had to move the harnesses behind the triple clamp. Works fine but a pain in the ass.
