Hello from BC

Hello all,

This site looks to be exactly what I've been looking for. I love our four Chinese machines, and we couldn't ride as a family if it wasn't for these beauties.

I'm one of those sick people that actually enjoys working on our machines more than riding them!

Cheers!

Hey Mr. Grind!

It's been to long, man! I was just fixing up the back end of the wife's 150, and thought "Man, Mr. Grind would know how to do this..."

Welcome, Welcome!

I assure you, I don't know anything about your wife's back end.

Is it a 150 Monster? If so, were the outer tapered rollers hooped? I had to replace mine since they weren't packed from the factory. Were you successful?

We have a 150 Gio Monster, a 200 Gio Beast, a 125 Gio Dirt Bike and a Crappy Tire 50 dirt bike (all heavily modified). I picked up a '96 XR250 for myself last year, and I still have my old '78 PE175 Suzuki. The stable is getting full.

I actually have no Chinese bike anymore, just sold it yesterday...Sounds like you have a good collection though, how have the gio's been? I considered getting a 200 beast, but I have no place for an atv anymore anyways... They seem to be the best priced around here.

Where do you ride? Are you an FVDRA member?

I've modified all three of them, and they are now capable performers. I've considered posting topics that detail the mods, but I'm unsure of where to put them. Would you recommend just starting new topics within the ATV and Dirt Bike sections?

Nope, I do mostly street riding, I only did a bit of off roading, with my first Chinese bike, out in Harrison, and then up near Cache Creek with DSBC. My second one I used pretty much exclusively on the road though. I had an atv I used at my Parents "farm", but I don't have any room to store it, and I really prefer 2 wheels, so I got rid of that too...

About the topics, yep that sounds perfect... Don't feel shy about creating new topics or anything!

Thanks for the welcome guys!

warrior91, I wish I got paid to Weldangrind; it's only a hobby. In the real world, I'm a mild mannered hospital equipment technician.

I recently heard that Miller's new Diversion line of welding equipment was so named because guys like me use it as a diversion from mundane jobs. It's like they're watching me.
