Wow, those bags really work with the rear frame angles. Nice find. 8)

Nice bags Vince - I agree they go with your DF Great. I wanted to get some Black and white pics of my Bobber that I built, but sold it before I got the chance - :( That really makes it look old school. Good job

Andrew,
You can turn your color photos into back and white with photobucket edit retro.

Great news on a feature of the Dong Fang that I was unaware even though I have owned if for months. It has sealed rims so there are no tubes in the tires. That is a big deal to me for safety and ease of repair of a flat with just plugs for a temporary fix. Very few bikes have this feature. I can only think of some very high end BMW and Moto Guzzi models that have tubeless spoke wheels.

posted this video that point out the features of the DF.

I wonder how that's done; do you think they apply a coating over the spokes to seal the rim? O-rings, maybe? Is it easy to adjust the spokes?

I didn't realize that the carb has an accelerator pump. That must make for very easy starts.

W&G,
Don't know how they seal the spokes but will find out one day when I need a new tire. Haven't had to adjust a spoke but they appear to be regular nipples.

Tubeless valve stem and regular nipples.

It is a pumper carb, a PZ30.

Chad who I bought my Dong Fang from at
http://www.extremescooters.biz/250cc...r-chopper.aspx
sent me a new replacement tank for my bike since it had a slight leak. I repaired the leak but didn't know if the weld would hold so I asked for a tank under warranty and it arrived today.
Nice to be able to report a positive experience on an internet seller. I recommend him as a supplier of the bobber if you want one in the crate.

Excellent. Now you have a spare tank if needed.

Dump Run

Here in the sticks of North Carolina we don't have garbage pickup so it was time for a run to the dump.

So I hooked up the trailer to the bobber.

Loaded it up.

And off I went to the dump.

Great action shot! It looks like ground clearance isn't a problem on your bike. What is your riding partner riding? It looks like it might be a Triumph or maybe a RE.

W&G,
Thanks. My buddy was riding a 2000 Kawasaki W650. I had a 2000 and a 2001 in the past.
I'm looking for a nice unaltered 2001. My buddie's has about $2000 worth of mods done by the previous owner. He paid $4000 for it. He has about 50 motorcycles including 9 old Triumphs. One of the Triumphs he bought new in 1968.

I had to look that one up; that's a new one on me. Nice machine! Do you struggle to keep up with him on your bobber? I presume not, because your bike looks to be really light.

No struggle to keep up because he was behind.
