I'm pretty sure that's a full SS exhaust, from the header back.

Weld,
Thanks. That is a 2013 or older Retro. Stock front forks.
All the newer Urals come with a full SS exhaust.

What's it like to corner with forward controls? I've never tried one.

Not too bad on the cornering but I prefer mid controls because it is nice to be able to stand up for bumps, etc.
Doesn't bother me enough to change them.

That parking lot is at Deal's Gap Resort which is at the start of the Dragon. They are closing up the lot and setting it up for fiddies races tonight.

I gonna miss the races as we are still baby sitting my grandson in VA.
Taking him swimming again today. He loves it.

Still enjoying riding my DF here in the mountains.
Be heading to Florida soon as it is starting to get too cold for this boy.

How many miles on the DF now? Is this your first or second DF?

Only 4000 miles on my second DF. Been leaving it in WNC but think I will take it to FL along with the Ural this winter. Sold my W650 so need a two wheel bike in FL.
I was gonna buy a another DF but they are sold out with none on the way.
It's a fun ride within it's limitations. Been tell the lookers that it is a 1918 Indian. Most don't know the difference.

I'd love to take a W650 for a spin. I've never seen one up close.
