God I swear. Still waiting for the rear sprocket to get to the amazon seller. I checked amazon today and they now have 4 in stock. I have emailed multiple times with no response asking if they physically have 4 and if one was being sent my way. I ordered it 1 month ago on the 17th -_- I can't even find my order under my "orders" on amazon. Grr...

That is why I went with the 40 tooth and kept the 15 on the front. They were out of stock on the 45 tooth and I didn't want to wait. You could of also gone with a 43 tooth and put a 16 on the front. At the time I purchased the 40 tooth was only $18.

I already have a 17t sitting on the shelf. But on the bright side, I think bitching about it helped because I just got confirmation that they have received more and mine will be shipped today haha

Sprocket Setup On My Hawk

Good Morning, 95C1500. I stumbled on your posting about sprockets, and thought I'd toss my two cent's worth in. I have a Hawk with 200-and a bit miles. I did all my mods when I was assembling it, so I don't have much in the way of stock to modded comparisons. I have a 17t front sprocket with a 39t rear. I also put on an o-ring chain when I did the sprockets. So far, the bike will run very comfortably at 55-60, and I've had it up to about 73 (downhill, with a tailwind, head on the tank). On a side note, I just checked the valves again (I set them to 0.005 when I assembled the bike), and the gap had magically disappeared. I reset the gap to 0.004, and I'm about to go out for a leisurely day after thanksgiving ride. If you're interested, I'll post about the new valve settings when I get back.

Sound great. Thanks! I topped out at 51 on my bike (of course I'm a heavy guy). One guy I rode with recently claimed he went from 53 to 73 with the sprockets. I got my 45t in today and I have a chain coming on Sunday and I'll install the sprockets and chain Sunday evening and see how it does. I'm exited

The bike did very well with the valves dialed in. Now I'll just keep an eye on everything to make sure they don't creep out of adjustment again. I'm excited for you about the sprockets. I just got my Georgia title in the mail, so it's official now, the bike is tagged, titled, and good to go! Please keep us posted with your thoughts once you get the new sprockets on.

Painted the exhaust yesterday

I started at 9pm, test rode it at 1:20am, and so far I love the new sprockets. I hit 51 in 5th gear (all it had in it)with the 15/50 and tonight I hit 52 in 4th gear before I ran out of road. So hopefully, my top speed increased a little more than I'm expecting. That damn snap ring... I even have a pair of snap ring pliers but they were no help with that thing. But damnit, it's finished! lol!

The rear wheel was a LITTLE dirty... (not my doing by the way)

95C1500, The bike is really coming together nicely. What a transformation from when you started. You will enjoy the bike more now that you changed the sprockets.

Thanks! I did not expect to do anything to it for a while when I bought it. We all know how that works lol!
