Too funny! Canadian humor!

Check out this clip from the Simpsons. The funny stuff starts at 15 seconds.

William Shatner - Canadian, but most Americans don't know that.

I grew up watching Simpsons, but haven't seen a new episode in a few years.

I kinda thought it was William Shatner but I'd not have thought anyone missed him...

Regarding the Simpsons it may surprise you to know that many of the doctors I was with at Yale would pause work and meet in the doctor's lounge once a week and watch whatever new episode was playing. We loved the diversion.

Come to think of it The Simpsons must have been on for a long time as I was at Yale like, what....100 years ago?

I think they came on about 22 years ago. I was in 6th grade if I remember correctly.

This is cool:

The Simpsons, which debuted on December 17, 1989...eventually became the longest-running American sitcom, the longest-running American animated program, and in 2009 it surpassed Gunsmoke as the longest-running American primetime, scripted television series. Since its debut on December 17, 1989, the show has broadcast 486 episodes and the twenty-third season will start airing on September 25, 2011.

Wow! 8O

IIRC, it started as a small bit on the Tracey Ullman show.

I remember watching it on that show. Most of the actors on the TA show did the voices...and still do.
