I just wondered if Cleveland Cycle Works (CCW) was waiting on the Kiwis.

For 2.1k Euro we all are jumping on one Hence I practically check CCW website daily. (Man, I lead a sad life apparently...)

Maybe one of you "locals" can give them a call to see what will they say about that bike?

If you did, would you attempt to DS it, in the great, free State of Idaho?

I must laugh at that, was it CCW or the rep that told you that? Quite some time ago I inquired about a Hooligun X 450 and received the same exact answer. After some more research I have a hard time CCW will actually have any of these bikes here anytime soon, if ever. Looks like a marginal operation, just my take.

Oh and for the Motopeds I would stay clear of them also, well at least for the next 6 months or so. They may be vapor ware in the near future, again just my take.

I do understand what you are saying . I this case I am trying to stay on the positive side . This 110cc for off road use should not have nearly the EPA problems of a New to the USA 450cc on road machine . Theses 110cc Engines are here in the ,Who Knows how many in off road configs.

Perhaps I should put it another way. As soon as we see others selling the same thing then CCW will have it. All of their flagship bike are sold for lesser values and they just put their spin on it and mark it up. It doesn't seem that they have the true capacity to import a raw specially designed bike made for them. It is a whole different level and perhaps they will get there but I cannot imagine they have that type of capital. When I spoke with CCW they indicated they have been selling the bikes for years and referred me to the Rep. The Rep gave me the lo-down and basically said they have no clue what they are doing. Dont get me wrong, the designs are very attractive and to some extent give me the I want one or should I build one thought.

What I have come down to is it can be done in a different way a lot cheaper. I was thinking to get one of these 125cc pit bikes, (Apollo I believe) and strip it down to nothing and make it bare bones. It would at least make a good base for an extremely light system.

I bet I could get a license plate for one, but I don't think I would incur the trouble, and the expense. These bikes are so light, I would merely transport them to the trail.

I'd like to plate one also . but I am not sure I could in West Virginia . Unless the MCO had FMVSS printed on it . I was thinking it was semi-auto ,because I have not seen anything bigger than a 110cc that wasn't full clutched . Trail bike rekluse
