Thumbs Up Greetings.

Hi, Just joined up. I bought a Pitster Pro XTR250 SC about a month ago - lots of fun so far. Registered as a road bike here in Alberta.

Welcome! Can you provide a web link to your exact bike. I don't think we have those for sale here in the USA.

Welcome! I remember the Pitster Pro bikes; they were good machines. May we see a pic?

I was raised in Sherwood Park; haven't grown up yet.

They do seem to be available in the US - this is my bike on the US web site ...

More bikes ...

It looks like the support for Pitster is actually better in the US than here in Canada.

Welcome; we are glad you joined us.

How well does the suspension perform?

I'm no expert, so hard for me to say. The rear was rock hard when I got it and I softened it somewhat. I haven't seen any need to touch the front end. The suspension is DNM from Taiwan. I'm sure it will perform as well as I need.

More photo's

I've ridden a few miles on the bike now and it's been a very positive experience overall. One complaint is the battery is under the seat and two bolts are required to remove the seat to access the battery. Unfortunately these bolt also secure the rear panels and the other bolts securing the rear panels have to be removed in order to line everything up for refitting - sub frame, panel, spacer and washer.

So I've fitted a pigtail onto the battery for my battery tender.

The electric start works great but I hope I never have to kick start it! I've tried a few times and only managed to start it once using the kick start and that was when it was already warmed up. Maybe it will become easier with time?

Still breaking in the motor so keeping the revs down for now but I did open it up to 90 kph (55 mph). I think that's close to max.

Anyway here's the photo's I took yesterday ...
