My 2013 Ural Yamal

Bought my 2012 Ural Yamal Limited Edition 2WD new last December and have over 12,000 trouble free KMs on her so far.
She is great for riding in the mountains on the curvy roads and on gravel forest service roads. Only needed the 2WD twice.

Just got back from a 250 mile dual sport off pavement ride from Bartow,FL to Ochopee,FL on my Ural. Great fun in the FL sand with about 100 bikes including seventeen Urals.
We on the Urals would pass the big ADV bikes (ie. GS, V-Strom,etc) as they fell and struggled in the sand and they would pass us on the pavement segments and then this would be repeated in the next off pavement part.

That is a very cool ride.

It's funny I don't think of Florida as having many places to ride off road. I usually associate dual sporting with mountains LOL!

Dammit! This was in my proverbial back-yard?!? I heard nothing about it! Even if I don't have a bike, it would've been cool to see so many Urals in one place!

Florida is almost all sand. Going off-road is usually sand and mud.

the orange colour is the best, beats the desert camo, which is also very good. would go well in the shed with my coupe.

Yep, FD you are right. It is the Russian nuclear powered ice breaker called the Yamal that carries tourist to the North Pole.

Definitely more fun off pavement riding in the mountains of Western North Carolina than in the Florida sand.
I'll be there in WNC in less than a month for six months with my three bikes, two ATVs, and one UTV for lots of fun riding on the gravel logging and forest service roads.
