Chinese 450

This would supposedly cost me $4,580 delivered to me. There's a few things in the description that the person sent to me that would need clarified compared to the picture.

first, the bore/stroke is about 223. if it's a zong twin, then that would be a 450. Their description says 1 cylinder.

The picture with the offer does not appear to show a water cooled motor. I'd have to confirm what this bike actually looks like.

The pic appears to show lights and license bracket. It would likely not be registerable, but would want them to clarify.

What's your thoughts?

Sketchy. Don't fall for stuff. And who does wheelbase and seat height in mm? Weird.

That thing on the rear fender looks more like an LED turn signal, not license plate; and no signals on front.

Looks like an LC motor with no radiator(?!). Unless those are twin mini-rads in the gas tank air scoops.

And 12 kw of power is 16.3 hp; 18 NM is 13.3 ft lb. Rear tire 100/90-19?

Conclusion: this is total scam BS.

No signals, so it is a dirt bike with lights. Looks like fun, though.

They do have an nc450. It has two small radiators, just like my SSR. It looks like a kayo bike, labeled as something else. I'd just look at SSR or Kayo.

Agreed. Don't bother with crazy low deals, that's how you get bit in the ass.

Their bore and stroke is way off, more like a 200cc, which would be in line with the claimed power. The SSR 450 is 96mm x 62.1mm

Yeah, this is even worse English than usual.

Actually, looking at the pic again, it does appear to have a front right turn signal. But it is in too close to be DOT-spec. So tires probably not DOT spec either. Nor is the motor EPA spec I'll bet. Positive that this could not be licensed for the road. Maybe OK if you had a big farm to ride it around on, or otherwise strictly offroad. But you might run into import problems too, which would negate the cost savings, and be a major hassle. And with the goofy specs listed, no way I'd bite on this "deal".

Ok. Looks like a kayo k4 frame with a nc450 in it. Has a huge gas tank, though.

6.5 liters is 6.8 quarts, or about 1.70 gallons. But how can you believe any of the specs listed?

yeah, that's the problem. the information and pictures don't match up. heck, some of the information and the description don't match up. lots of confirmations from the seller would be needed.

the net though is going through a direct-mail type of system does not offer any substantial discount from what these can be bought from dealers here.

it would save me $400 compared to this:

Yeah, I was basing the tank size on the pictures, and not the specs. I didn't even read them over really well, as sometimes the translation from any form of chinese to english is not very well contexed.

Yeah, that EGL is hands down a much better deal, as you know what you'll be getting. Might as well order from a trusted site rather than those guys.
