Can someone tell me the difference between a 26vm and a 30vm carb

the diameter of the actual carb venturi. the Mik clone carbs, vm26, have a 26mm height at the jet, and the smallest portion of the air path, and widen out to the 30mm outlet that most ebay and amazon listings measure.... a real vm 30 will measure 30 mm at the jets/venturi, and be a substantially larger carb.

for our ~200cc bikes, you want the VM26, either real or cloned....
