Tao Tao atm50 very slow

Hi guys I’m new to all of this so please excuse my in advance. I have a 2017 atm 50 and I have put a new carb on it with upgraded jet I believe they said the jet was 82, the carb had to be replaced bc it kept bogging and not running. After the carb replacement it’s very slow I’m not sure how fast it was with the original carb but it’s very slow now and it also has very little acceleration, so my question is what do I need to do to it to achieve a little better acceleration and a much better top speed as of now top speed is 28mph I have another Atm 50 which does 40 mph but I believe it has upgrades from previous owner. Any suggestions would be great thanks!!

Start troubleshooting by checking valve clearance. Observe if carb slide is rising properly.
