Mine was delivered today, got it all put together and very pleased so far. Going to be keeping a close eye on the clutch once I start riding this thing a little harder.

Awesome!!

One of things I did to get the clutch working/feeling correctly was to rotate the lever on the engine one spline back. It is easy to remove the clip and rotate it back. This puts the adjustment threads right in the middle, like they should be.

I'll try to post a few pics tomorrow. I'm sure you will love the bike after you get it baselined and broke in.

I have put a link on ADV to this thread on the Pitster Pro LXR thread there because you have a lot of good information here.
Looking forward to more from you soon about the bike.

Thanks!

Got a link back?

I've been neglecting dirt bike things as work and my wife's hobbies and her volunteer work have taken over for the past 6 weeks.

Managed to make it down to the Pitster shop this weekend. Pleasantly surprised to find that they had everything I needed in stock; especially the clutch rod.

As you can see I trimmed a bit too much off during our trip. (New one is longer)

So I put the new longer rod in and knew immediately that it wasn't going to work; I could not tighten the springs up because the clutch wasn't clamping down.

So, I took it back apart and added a full clutch steel and pad to the pack. It fit like it was designed to have one more set!! (I'll post a few pictures of it later) After adjusting the clutch cable, I took it for a spin and it feels about the same as it did before.

I'll need to take it on something more challenging than my back lawn to really say much more about it.

Wow, that's crazy. And yours had the correct number to start with? Good to know that Pitster had things like that in stock and ready to go. I'm still considering pulling the trigger on a pair of these for my son and I.

I believe so. No way to be sure about how it should come.

The rod in stock really surprised me. They also had some new rear wheel seals and a set of fork seals. I have one that is barely starting to weep. I want to tear them down to see what is inside and put in some fresh fork oil.

Have you tried using a SealMate to clean the fork seal? I made one out of thin plastic from a plastic 2 liter bottle. Mine had started to seep a little. I cleaned it out and pumped the shocks a few times and it cleared up.

Great minds think alike Jerry! I actually did that yesterday while I had the front wheel off for a tire change. Hoping it works, but if not I have the new parts ready to go.

Yep, something so simple works like a charm.

I recently replaced some fork seals and bushings on a Yamaha. What did in the seal on one side was a tiny nick in the back side of the fork tube. Front tire must have kicked up a rock. I could catch a nail on it so I know it completely annihilated the seal. I'm a big fan of full length fork skins now, but don't ride in mud.
