Tao rhino shift sensor

Thanks for the add and Hello all picked up a beat down 2015 Tao rhino, wiring cut, old oil, leaves in gas tank, cleaned carb it was surprisingly in good shape, new gas lines, brakes, chain, and wiring harness comes Monday, so question just realized the complete harness does not come with a shift sensor and this one is hacked, can I run the ATV Monday when I get the harness without the sensor or do I need to wait for the new one to come in?

The Rhino only uses the neural and reverse contacts in the shift sensor. It should start without those connections if you step on the brake and pull in the clutch, assuming those switches are working.

I can try, the original has speaker wire leads as a patch job I'll throw the multimeter and see if the connections are good
