No, I have not. Only the instrument cluster on the TT250 I have. Have you seen the new digital instrument cluster of the 2018 TT250? If it's like the aftermarket one that's available from the gentleman on this forum, then it still seems to me the CR250's is better.

I've seen some of your recent posts and you seem to be quite negative towards CSC. Do you work at a Honda dealership or something? Do you even own a CB?

If you check back to the introduction of the TT250, it's permanent selling price was going to be $2495, after the promotional, limited introductory price of $1895. But when the introductory price expired, they only raised the permanent selling price to $2195.
I'll bet the same thing happens with the posting of the permanent selling price of the CSC CR250, after the temporary, introductory price expires. The only advantage the CR250 has over the TT250 is aluminum rims, which doesn't generate a higher selling price over the TT250. IMO!

I HOPE they do lower it to $2195 as I am considering buying one. But if they can move product at that price, I don't see why they would. Seems like there is a lot of interest for this bike. If they sell more or as many CR250's at $2400 than T250's at $2195, doesn't make much sense to lower the price. Unlike the Hawk 250, there isn't a cheaper version out there for drop-ship of this one, as far as I can tell.

For a cheap standard motorcycle, even at $2400, there isn't much in its price range. Sym Wolf and the Kymco Spade are both about $500 more with smaller motors. They both have dealer networks but good luck with finding them in some areas. I won't even suggest CCW.

We won't really know the real amount of interest in the CR250 until it's unveiling and sales volume. CSC, via Joe Berk, is really into over-stating the popularity of each model of their bikes. But if you follow the facts, you'll see a lot of the hype is internally generated.
Personally I would be a purchaser of the CR250 if the selling price is less than $2000.00, and they come up with some awe inspiring color & contrast designs.
We can only hope for a can't miss design!

Well we finally know what CSC’s CR250 Cafe Racer will have as it’s suggested retail selling price.
I visited their home page this morning and saw an insert for the 2018 CR250 with a listed retail price of $2495.00. I’m really disappointed in the MSRP for this bike. I was hoping to purchase a cheap, single cylinder, air cooled, light weight commuter bike. But instead I see that this bike will not fit my purchase price target. So I will just have to move on to a reasonably price competitors bike.
I really can’t understand how an older, cheaper Zongshen 125cc Bike, with a 250cc replacement engine and drum brakes, can be more expensive than the CSC TT250?

When the first vids of this bike came out I remember Joe saying how inexpensive the CR250 would be, I assumed he Kent it would be less expensive than the TT but that could have been my fault in thinking.

I agree with the over-stating the popularity. I was thinking about picking up an RZ3 and the other night when I went on the CSC site they weren't even listed. Only the RXR, RX3 and TT 250 are listed in the bikes section with the CR being shown on the main page. I guess I'll have to pick up a used Ninja 300 or something to use as a new commuter.

Several months ago, I called CSC and was told the MSRP on the CR250 was going to be $2495. I was more than disappointed. As others have stated, Joe reported that it was going to be inexpensive. I expected less than $2495. My plan was to buy a CR250 or possibly a TT250 but I got tried of waiting and them pushing the delivery date back. I bought the KYMCO Spade 150i instead of a CSC product. The Spade has a top speed of 73mph and I feel that unlocking more speed will be fairly easy. These are very different bikes but a 250cc bike should be faster than 60mph.

I hope CSC does well with their bikes. A counter-balanced engine was high on my list. The Spade was the only other counter-balanced bike available.

While I plan to purchase an RX3 later this year, I do have an eye on the cafe bike from CSC as well. The low top speed is a little worrying though. I lived with a TW200, which had a 70mph top speed on flat level ground, and it was pretty terrible for commuting on the highway. It'd do 70mph on backroads pretty easily, but on the highway there's so much head wind that it struggled to maintain 65. So it was great for surface streets, but because of the speed limitation it wasn't a good all-around bike.

I'm wondering what performance modifications are available for the engine in this cafe bike. Does it take well to a porting and polish? High compression piston? Intake and exhaust changes? I'm guessing nothing short of a turbocharger is going to get it to 80mph, but one can dream...

Well I see that the CR250 Cafe Racer is finally posted on the CSC website for a “bargain” price of $2495.00!? (According to Joe).

If it’s a cafe racer it should have a higher top speed than 68 mph (CLAIMED)! Is that downhill or with the tail wind?

So I guess I’m just going to have to pass it up for a (real performing) cafe racer type bike.
I’ll be interested to see how popular this model becomes by watching the sales volume.
