Nice find! I wish we had individual gear ratios to put into each gear. You can usually find those numbers for Japanese bikes.

I did a little digging around and came across this information for an earlier ZS172FMM engine. This is the shorter stroke version, not the 3 or 3A variant with the larger stroke that comes in these bikes, but I would imagine the transmission ratios between the two are the same or similar. You could always plug this information into a gearing calculator like the link above or gearingcommander.com and see if the data you get out matches what you see on your own bike. If so, then that should help you guys determine good ratios for this bike.

Ordering another bike and I see there's 2 models now from power sports Max. This one looks very lite. Not manufactured by Way Zuma. Any chance anyone here has this model?

Looks like they just stripped it down to cut 50 lbs.
Smaller gas tank
No skid plates
Non adjustable suspension, front or rear (that would kill it for me)
Smaller front brake rotor
Thinner seat
No rear rack
Smaller/fewer plastics
Different muffler
And so on.

On the other hand, it’s 50lbs lighter lol.
I really dig it. Looks slick and the only thing I really dislike about the Templar is the weight, but I think to myself all the stuff they took off the bike is stuff I’d end up putting back on.

Plugging it into the calculator linked above it looks to be spot on for what I’ve seen in 5th gear.
Definitely makes me think a 40 tooth sprocket would be best for my needs (dirt, gravel, and some paved roads)

Mine doesn’t do that, good throttle response, but it does seem to me that it needs batter air flow.
I say that but truly I am not the one to ask-all my experience is on GM LS motors. Fuel injected V8’s are about as far off from carb’d thumpers as one can be. I know what a well tuned motor sounds and feels like, had custom ground cams, did my own custom H pipe exhaust (not easy on 4th gen Camaros lol), rebuilt heads, even played with air-fuel tables in HP tuners, but on these, I am but a lowly noob.

Noticed that it doesn't show the front and rear sprocket sizes, would you think it's probably the same as the original templar, 13-49?
And I agree, all of those things removed once spoken about sound quite important to be removing lol, but it does carry a lot of merit for style and overall selection.
It actually gives a great similarity to the Titan 250 in appearance with the slim body and headlight shape, just with a slightly bigger engine.

It’s definitely more dirt bike in appearance. I quite like it.
I’d imagine if they’re trying to really make it into a dirt bike then they may even go lower, but I can’t imagine any higher at all.

Holy moly-has anyone shopped tires for this thing yet?!
If y’all can find a good dual sport tire that fits I’d love to see them, I can only find dirt tires.

Kenda K270 4.60-18 and 2.75-21 are good, and about $135 for the pair.
For all of the extras, this bike is the best deal around for off-road riding. With a Full 250cc 19hp engine, adjustable suspension, skid plate, big caged foot pedals, folding gearshift and all lights to sneak around on the roads! It isn't even that heavy weighing in at about 260lbs.

This bike is not so much for road use though, and really barely dual sport. It is more oriented towards Enduro. Yes, you can put Enduro tires on it, but a Bashan Brozz or a Hawk are more dual sport. And with off road only MCO, you may not be able to plate it anyway. Frankly, that is the only real drawback to this TemplarX.
