Tall Seat

Got my new tall seat stashed inside the TT250 crate, as promised. What a God Send! I was able to take it out for about an hour on Sunday and WOW...what a difference. Not only is it wider and flatter with real quality (firm) foam, but the stitching and upholstery seem very high quality. It's a very attractive seat, to the eye. Most importantly, after an hour....my butt wasn't even beginning to snivel. I would have been long squirming on the stocker.
Coming from the HD and Vic world, where a good seat is between 700 and a grand, this thing is a steel for the $$$.
Thank you everyone for twisting my arm to try this. :-) My backside thanks you, as well.

2LZ, if you get a chance, can you post a side view photo?

How much taller is the tall seat that the stock seat?

Thanks.

If I had a RX3 the first thing I would do is get the tallest seat they make. I'm 6'1" and found the stock saddle much lower than I needed. I also prefer flatter seats, especially on off road bikes.

Looks like a great perch.

BTW, I love the Q in the back ;-)

I'll get a pic tonight. I should have measured them, I guess. In all honesty, jb, I'm not sure if it's any taller at all. Maybe 1/2" max? I think they just call it the "tall seat", as opposed to the narrow or whatever. I didn't have to noticeably swing my leg any higher got climb aboard. I'm 6' and my feet are still quite comfy to the ground.

What is different is the overall quality, width and flatness of it. You're no longer perched aboard a rubber covered 7" peeler core working its way up yer arse. Plus that rubberized stuff they call upholstery on the stock seat is no longer gripping my jeans. I really hated that. It's nice to be able to slide around a bit, without a fight.

Oh yah...gotta love Q. As you know, Doc, it's a great bike. I bet with what little mods I've done, it will pull my RX3 in a straight line and it's only a 200. They really did a great job on them.

The Q is not light, but I bet lighter than the RX3. Even with a few HP down it moves pretty good.

I think everyone should have a Q. Better than an Obama-phone.

For that you need a private email server. The disposable type is preferred.

Is the pillion seat any more "robust"? My wife's rear is aching even after just a short trip on the highway. I've been thinking of upgrading, but haven't had time to run out to CSC to test it out.

I wouldn't say more robust regarding thickness or width, but it's a definite higher quality all around.

I thought I was the only one who dislikes the stock seat cover material. I'm saving my shekels for that "tall" seat.
