Any Dealings with Speed Works Motor Sports?

I am in a potentially bad situation with this outfit, here is a link to their FaceBook page https://www.facebook.com/SpeedWorksMotorSports/
and am looking for any input from anyone who has done business with them.

I don't want to throw shade where none is known to be due but frankly circumstances aren't looking good atm ,they may turn out to be 100% legit

but they have no apparent brick and mortar store, not even a telephone number you can call ,all Sales etc. are strictly on an e-mail basis ,which appears sketchy .

Please let me know if you or anyone you know has actually bought /received anything from them, thanks.

i have not an would not buy anything from them an could not find anything on that bike on the net stay away i would, its looks nice but probley too good to be true,my quick look found nothing on a ev mx 250 r at google either

there are some other sites on the net you can look up there reputation an find a real place with phone number that will sell you one for like $1500.00 or less, make sure you check out the sellers rateings ,some are better then others ,but they all can have issues,i am sure the same bike its out there just a different name on it ,the video is like weird too ,i would report them to facebook

there is 250 called the apollo that is sold by some ok sellers on the net like $1279.00

Follow up and final post. , AVOID Speed Works Motor Sports . They were briefly on EBay as user Speedworks01 and sold several ATV's , one of which was to me. Enough Claims were then filed against them for Ebay to delist them due to non - delivery. They have a FaceBook page and are still apparently trying to swindle people .I am lucky enough to have been completely covered by the Ebay Buyer Protection Program so I will eventually get my money back ( 30 days or so ) but in the meantime I don't have money to buy from a different Dealer ,so I will have at least a months delay , and then shipping time etc after that once i order from a different Supplier.,so a great part of my summer i looked forward to riding with, will be over. I'm so angry and disappointed at this point i have decided to forgo getting a Sport ATV at all ,and now plan to just get a Vader from Venom., unfortunately Venom does not carry a 250cc ATV Sport or Race type and I am sooooo done with sketchy and shady Dealers I'll just go with the Vader because i have 100% confidence in Venom due to reviews here as well as after having spoke to them on the phone.

i wonder if some of these places are using the money paid to them for using it in off shore quick high risk investing.....then return your money after they have played with it for a month.......been hearing a lot of complaints here about delayed shipments ending up cancelled........this ebay example is new but similar....

imapdog, I'm not sure what the deal is as far as cause ,seems like if you were going to run a scam you'd pick something a bit more lucrative than low cost Chinese bikes, but then again we are in that wierd time right now when Chinese build quality has really improved so much that the bikes really are viable good machines ,and still half or less the cost of the japanese counterparts, but the Dealer network has NOT either expanded or advanced in quality as the bikes have. There just aren't that many Chinese bike dealers and so of what few there are, many seem to have remained in the shady ,sketchy realm with "buyer beware" as their motto.
One of the few exceptions is Venom who is doing business like a REAL legit Dealer and business, there are others of course but far too many are little better than outright frauds . I wish I had the startup cash to invest because I am convinced that due to the increase in quality of the Chinese bikes along with their low cost and the current state of mostly shady Dealers ,there is a LOT of room for good , capable people to launch ground floor businesses doing things the right way especially in the performance parts /appearance add ons markets for these bikes.

Nice bike you have by the way , i have noticed several of your posts, how do you like it and how is it holding up? any mods you suggest strongly right out of the box? I'm getting one and have opened a new thread asking for advice on what to do right away to it for reliability /durability and maybe even a lil better performance.,would appreciate any input , it's over in the "Street" forum.

yes one of my thread mention me buying four 2017 x20's at $999 ea delivered. they are good quality for the most part and non consistent on similar issues like wiring. i am happy with this experience so far but never put myself in very risky situation to turn them quickly. i have purchased 6 chondas from them this yr. happy every time! they have good communication and honesty.

i see they discontinued 2017 models and now known as 2018 models.
prob should be writing this in that sub and not here, but there really isnt a smart market out there to buy these already modded(well besides csc)but no cheaper market. if you buy one stock it will run but not to its potential. peeps see my price, then google it for less. they go less route. there just isnt cheap market for someone fixing these up like they should be running them, or peeps like to experience it themselves.
as far as investing? it will take lots of time to establish clientele. backing up these chondas as stock and peeps assume its turnkey ready 24-7 365 would be a nightmare. i am not making anything on my adventure besides experience. me getting free self taught lessons on carbs is worth it alone. once mastered enough to feel good about them opens up a lot more option for used bike market for me in buying them from novice peeps that cant work on them.....knowing is half the battle!

ebay buyer protection has never let me down ,i have had some issues with gem stones that were fake ,an allways got my money back ,i have a store there ,an it can be a love hate relation with them but more love ,but ebay almost allways sides with a buyer ,glad to hear your getting your money back ,check out the apollo 250cc dirt bike from many sites out of texas ,allways check there feedback rateing too on ebay

i am finding some are pretty legit now like tx motorsports an some places retated to them in arlington texas are the real deal are making changes to get the better rep china bikes do deserve for there price point, got my hawk in 7 days had the mco in just 3 days ,they had it planned for me to get my bike an paper work the same day,but in my case it was ups freight that was 2 days late, most time if you mention that you know about the bike your buying an that you watched the motcheese videos wich i did seemed to help ,not that we should not all get a great service from any seller ,i have had dealing with some just trying to make a few bucks ,from china on ebay ,sad but true just to feed there family,an got refunded my $7.00,i also told them i was going to do a video on the hawk ,wich is comeing soon ,this year,an i want to talk about a little of everything from the sale to the bike quality an such

when comparing jap bikes to china bikes ,china bikes are sold like 100 to every hand full of jap bikes one dealer told me that sells 150cc china scooters an some atvs in a months time bigger dealers sell even more down south ,cant keep them in stock, is a jap bike seller ,an keeps the china bikes our front an they go as fast as he gets about 60 at a time ,he does not advertise the china bikes ,just sells them at 1 of his 2 stores that deals mostly in jap bikes ,this time of year he sells out very fast, then orders another storage container full of them ,an gets average $400 $500 more then average southern dealers ,hear up north in NH,he puts out like 10 or 15 at a time

one more thing is research an more research on the bike your buying before you buy it ,its what i did ,then joining the forum too

If you bought from speedworks01 on EBay you need to contact EBay and open a case with Buyer Protection ( i'm sure you already did ) you should be completely covered ,you will eventually get your money back in full ,but that doesn't fix all the other complications I know. They usually repay you in about 30 days the Agent I spoke to told me ,that seems like a long time but then it's better than your money plain being gone , forever.
You can only open ONE Buyer Protection case on a motorized vehicle bought through Ebay every 6 months ,so if you were for example to get scammed twice within 6 months, the second time your money would just be gone. So, keep that in mind if you still plan to buy a bike using Ebay when you get your money back !

Yes thank you im aware of Buyer's protection on Ebay .when i was purchasing on eBay I pushed buy and some how it took out of Ebay on to speedworks01 on his personal page and made the purchase some how . so Ebay has a strong stipulation of buying and selling outside of eBay which put me in a bad spot so im trying to see if my bank can put a freeze on it and get it back for me . its a tough lesson learned to look more deeply in who i buy from . thanks again i will be posting up on my outcome here . And thanks for putting up speedworks01 in this forms so it can help iny one looking up that website.

glad to hear you got your money back aah yes ,just make sure its not a provisional credit unles you know how they work, i have had some an been tempted one or 2 x for doing outside of ebay but did not ,yes ebay frowns on that ,your bank should get it back for you

sometimes banks will quote front you the money a provisional credit ,meens they are fronting you the money they later take it back,i had something happpen with sears an returned item a lawn mower ,an it was $500.00 a credit ,the bank did not tell me it was a credit from them, i just thought sears had give my money back ,then 30 days later the bank took there money back ,an i ended up with an over drawn account ,how embarrasing it was ,i got my $30.00 fees back couse they never explained how it worked ,but yes thought i would tell you that too. yes lesson learned for me too ,,so make sure they are not waiting to get your money back still from this person ,

if it was fraud they may not do it like that, your bank that is ,should be your money to spend

if you make a dispute with your bank it could be they just lend the money ,i feel like it was just a good set up by the bank, got to have book on how they operate these days,

I would have rather just waited another 2 weeks to get the money from sears, sears is moving to the small town stores they call them ,all else is order online with them in most places now
