Rev up engine, slow and stepped come down
Anyone else's RX3 do this? Mine always has. If I'm in neutral, and I give the engine a good rev, it'll rev up and then on the way back down it'll hold at maybe 3k rpm for a second or two, then drop back down to idle. Does anyone's actually come back down smoothly?

Mine drops to idle fine.
Your symptom sound very similar to something I would see on the old Honda 350 & 450 twins when one or both intake valves were too tight and needed adjustment. Is your tire pressure okay? |

My guess is that when you rev it, you dump a bunch of fuel into the system...then on the way down, the EFI and O2 sensor are sniffing the excess HC's and CO's and stepping it down, controlled by their version of an AIC, to burn off the excess gasses instead of expelling them into the air.

Mine does not do that either. It's not normal. I would give Gerry at CSC a call and ask him.

If it was carbed, I'd say it's a vacuum leak. It certainly could be, but it could also be a FI issue.
