As requested... Rocky

Rocky Raccoon in front of the "Welcome to Las Vegas" Sign. (The original one on Boulder Highway)

And I decided that since I was out riding, I would go hit the dirt for a while as well. Logged about 80km in the dirt before returning home. Not really ride report material, but I have to share the pictures.

The sun was down just far enough to get an awesome few pictures.

Somewhere in the middle of the desert...

A dead end, so I parked to take a picture.

I was hoping Lake Mead would be more visible, but the water line is about 200 feet lower than it was 10 years ago.

The power lines. I love the sound of high-tension lines.

And finally, a picture of me with my bike. I failed to make it in time to be properly posed before the self-timer released.

Thanks for the welcome sign pic! I was unaware that there is more than one; I've only seen the tourist trap version on LBV.

It seems unnatural for your bike to be that clean in a dirt setting. Rocky looks really good; which trunk do you have? How do you like it?

Thank you for the compliments. I blame God for the pictures. He created the beauty, I was just lucky enough to catch it with a camera.

Until Nevada becomes the fascist state its neighbor has, it should remain a beautiful area in which to ride. They're already working on closing the area where these pictures were taken. :(

The trunk is the large JC Whitney trunk, and so far I enjoy it very much. I need two more as saddlebags. They aren't quite large enough to fit my books, camera gear, and helmet + pants + jacket. one at a time, they fit, so if I had three, I could use them all! (Maybe with a larger bike capable of highway trips)

Thank you for posting the photos, Acydrx! Both Rocky, and the J.C. Whitney travel trunk look great!
