Hawk 250 Tire Options

I mostly ride my Hawk 250 on the street and rarely off-road. What suggestions can you give me for mostly street, some off-road. 70/30 probably.

705's are a great street tire, but they do struggle a bit off road which is why I went to the 700. The 700 has decent reviews for light trail riding and handles mud and loose surfaces better than the 705, but is a little more vibey and noisy on road as a result. Still a decent road tire though. Either one is a good choice, just choose based on what you are willing to live with or without more.

I have the 705s. They are awesome for the street and do well on hard packed trails and rock but not so good in the loose stuff.

i do 90-95% street they are perfect for me.

I have the 705's on my DR650, and absolutely LOVE them! I ride mostly on the street, and just a couple of hard-pack sandy trails out here in the desert. I plan on putting a 705 out back on the Hawk, and either a 705 or 700 up front. Depends on what my Hawk riding looks like when the time for new rubber finally comes. Have my hands full with the basket case of a Scrambler I'm working on, and we just wrote out the (very large) check for our new build house out here.

Just got a set of Shinko 244's for the TT 250. More of a 60/40 - 50/50 tire but still a good on road tire and is a good off road tire in all but heavy mud and snow. Ran them on my KLR 650 and was pleased. They wear really well. Looking at the Shinko 700's or 705's for the RX3 when the time comes. My commute is a mix of pavement, hard packed dirt and some loose gravel.
