KPX 250 Skid or Bash plate
The KPX 250 has three mounting brackets for a skid/bash plate so I contacted LIfan to see if a bash/skid plate is available and they said they have not come out with any third party products for the KPX yet. They suggested I inquire on the KPX250.com site but I don't do Facebook and know Kyle is also on this forum. Does anyone know of any compatible skidplates for the KPX?

I'm sure one could easily be fabricated out of some 1/8" aluminum.

I don't really want to have to fabricate one. I have heard the plastic plates aren't noisy like aluminum can be. I've looked at several designs and think the Acerbis Part Number 2125690001 should fit pretty well with little to no modification. I went ahead an ordered one and will see how it fits.

Aluminum plates aren't noisy! I've never heard mine.
Edit! I notice some pling, pling ting sounds while riding across some gravel the other day. Wasn't real noisy, but I see what you mean! But you are right. There are lots of replacement plates out there that just need 3 or 4 new holes drilled to install. ABS plastic might last, but plastic cracks, whereas aluminum bends. Have fun on the install. Got the skidplate yesterday but it would require to much modification and cutting to work and its a little too narrow. Going to return and try and find something else.

I haven't spent anymore time looking for one. I did call Lifan America a few months ago asking about a skid plate and they said they would be working with third party companies to provide after market accessories for the KPX but I'm not holding my breath. Would be a business opportunity for someone with with welding and machining ability to start making skid plates, racks, and other parts for Chinese bikes since there is very little after market support.

The skidplate for the TT250 has been confirmed to fit by one of our members. Kyle just made a post on the KPX Facebook group.

Looking at photos on the web, this DR650 skid plate looks interesting. The DR650 frame seems to have a similar shape to the KPX250. This Acerbis skid plate is sturdy plastic, so easy to cut to fit and drill holes for mounting bolts etc.
I'm riding primarily on the street so I'm not in a hurry to get a skid plate. If no one else finds a better option I might give this a try Acerbis 2421150001: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AXDC2U4...v_ov_lig_dp_it
