Thank you. The alarm thing is a definite, but I am also going to invest in a security chain and lock setup. There are posts I can secure it to, so that should at least slow them down from simply walking away with my stuff. HOLY COW! I haven't been on here in a few weeks so I was blown away by this news. Just read the entire thread and it pisses me off terribly to hear what has happened but damn what a beautiful thing to see everyone rise to the occasion for you Dan. I know your goal was met but I just threw in my contribution so you can buy aftermarket parts or just go out to eat on us. It would be really cool if we could get a rear fender and have everyone sign it with their signature to put on it but I know that ain't happening just because of logistics. So glad for you to be able to get a new bike buddy. Hats off to EVERYONE involved!!!

I know that is Facebook. I would donate to it. Hopefully the thieves are caught soon. Hey here is a fun thought ,Get the 1800 riders in your area together on a saturday and comb the streets and find them. Let the riders bring them to justice on the spot. That would be cool. Prayers good things happen to you that offset the bad my friend.

This time get a GPS thingy on there. they take it again, the law will show up and politely explain stealing is NOT NICE! Or taser them in their man bits which is what I would prefer.

Ditto. Get a GPS tracker on the next one. Ebay sells them cheap & you can use a cheapo SIM card from a burner phone that's good for 6 months or so.

You can follow it to where they Live and Thank them personally.

Here is something to give you a giggle, or think I am crazy. Hawk250 talked to TXPowersports about my situation, and they offered to sell me one for 1200 shipped.

I turned it down. If that doesn't highlight my distrust and hatred for that company, then I don't know what else will. ANY other company and I would have jumped all over the offer, but not them.

My actual response, if you are curious:

"I really do appreciate the effort on your part to do what you can for me. Words cannot express it enough. While I do appreciate trying to get me a better deal on the Hawk, I don't like nor trust Texas Powersports as far as I can throw them. I have had more than one bad experience with them, especially the management, and would rather spend the extra money purchasing my Hawk from Killermotorsport. They are who I bought my last one from, and they are a great company to work with from my experience. They also ship through Saia, which is one of the best LTL carriers out there."

As far as the GPS. Search GPS tracker on Aliexpress and find the best deal. They are around $35

I really like RND2 as a plate idea; I also like HAWK2. That said, vanity plates are expensive where I live. I'd rather see you put cash into R&D.

Let me be the first to say that the cash I donated is not earmarked specifically for a Hawk. IOW, if you decided to try one of the other China models, that would be fine with me.
