Wow, what a conclusion to my odyssey. So it had become extremely clear that the fine state of New Jersey had no intention of registering my bike. Fortunately, I work in the Hamptons in New York in the summer. So after a few hours of fudging documents, I took my fateful trip to the New York State DMV. I surrendered my New Jersey license and traded it in for a New York one, and then registered my bike as a resident of new york state. Took me 10 minutes, in and out the door with plates in hand, and my new title is in the mail. Should have just gone through new york state to begin with
