What is this?

I picked this up for my grandson. It's been in storage for over 3 years. I was told it was an 80cc. Looks a little small. It also looks like an enduro but might be straight-up dirt. It's an MFC (Motorized Fun Company) bike is all I know.

Any ideas what size (sits as high as his KTM 50) or year? I'm trying to figure out the oil/fuel ratio.

I just did a little Google search, and a I would say it's a 65 cc. The jug should have the displacement stamped on it. I figure it's the same as others little bikes in it's league, just a different name. Are you sure it's a 2 stroke? It may be semi automatic, or it may have a regular clutch. I hope it provides some fun for the youngen.

It has 650CM3 stamped on the clutch/gearbox housing. It has gears but no manual clutch, so I'm guessing it's semi-auto. Not sure if it's 2 or 4 stroke. I was told it was a 2 stroke. I see no where to put in regular oil, just gear oil?

I have 3 grandsons and 3 bikes down. They are itching to go.

Those bikes were from 2004 or so if my memory is correct ,I know they were based off of Yamaha playbikes but I can’t remember what the model was unfortunately ,I think it’s possibly a PW 80 ? We have new members show up here from time to time always looking for parts or info ,but I can’t remember a single one actually posting they found what they were looking for .

I would say it's a 2 stroke, and you premix the gas, and oil. I saw this on the internet, and it looks like a 2 stroke from the way the head is covered with fins, and it looks like the plug is in the center.

I see the engine oil fill in the picture you posted. It's at the top of the side case above the foot pad of the rear brake pedal. It's right at the stamping of "650cm3" that you mentioned.

It's been a while since I last posted. Could not get it to run so it got stored for the winter. It has spark and starts (and then stops) if I put fuel directly into the spark plug hole. The carb was taken apart and cleaned. Other than the holes in the bottom (clearly stored with some fuel), it looked ok. I filled the holes with JB-Weld. It did not work, it started flaking in the bowl. I'm thinking the carb needs to be replaced. What's the best way to find a carb for this "thing"?

Billy, it has no clutch. At least not one on the left-hand side of the handlebars.

Pull the carb and measure the throat in mm. This will show the size you need. Search on Amazon for the size. These small motors usually have a PZ19 or 20 carb. Might be smaller. BTW, if it wasn't clear by the earlier posts, it's not a two stroke. The 650ml is the amount of oil the crankcase holds.

Post #6 above looks like exactly the same bike ,and that bike is definitely a two stroke .

Remove the carb and look for letters and numbers identifying the carb and search those numbers for a suitable replacement .

Think this through fellows;

Are there valves? Is there a valve cover? Is the plug going into the center of the head?

No valves or valve cover with plug into the center of the head is a 2 stroke!

Carb feeding the head = 4 stroke

Carb feeding the crankcase= 2 stroke.

The oil is for the semi-auto transmission and auto clutch.

For the carb just google "MFC65cc carb",, witness the selections and pick the one that looks like yours. Measuring will help but it is always a crap shoot on small chinese dirt bikes and any of several might work.

It's interesting, when it tries to start, it does sound like a 4-stroke (deep guttural). However, it does make sense that it's a 2-stroke (carb feeding the crankcase, plug in the center of the head). I spent a few hours Sunday searching for carbs. Nothing with the carb numbers (TK TG03 53F11). My other issue is that the air intake is on the front. Most of the carbs I'm finding have that reversed, so I can't access the screws from the other side.

The carb intake is roughly 24mm on the inside. I say roughly because it tightens on if that makes sense.

...and this is how we learn. Or at least how I learn. Thanks for the knowledge. Now for more learning; is there an oil tank or is it pre-mix?
