Nope, never spoke with the owner. Wondering about the silver box with the two toggle switches, too.

The weather started out nice but, sunny and upper fifties. By 11am it was overcast, windy, and the temps were dropping.

It's a somewhat common swap on the old Indians ,there electrics are finicky and they have weak output , so people started swapping car alternators on them .
