Jafrum Classic Leather Chaps
Yup, bought a pair.
http://www.jafrum.com/motorcycle-gea...er-chaps/lc401 Ready for a stint in a Village People tribute band when I retire. All I need is a Speedo. All seriousness aside, my weight loss has caused a few changes in my life. Mostly that I have a lot more room in my clothes. For many things that's okay. For my crash pants, not so much. The thought of the pants and I parting company in a crash has been a nagging little thought in the back of my mind of late. Anyway, I got a sale email from Jafrum last week and spotted the chaps. For forty bucks, I decided to give them a try. They showed up yesterday. What I noticed right away is that if you've never worn chaps before, there is a learning curve. Took me three tries to get them on correctly. Once you figure out that you belt them to your waist AFTER unzipping each leg, they fall into place. They fit really well, but for the length. A tad long, which was expected. They are designed to be trimmed to fit, lengthwise. They are measured by thigh diameter. I measured a bird leg 24", which is a Medium. I added an inch to 25"/large as past experience with Jafrum products is that they run small. These were no different. First ride impressions. Very, very comfortable. After the first mile, you forget you are wearing them. You'll also notice that the cold temps are not as noticeable on your legs. I wish I'd bought some a long time ago. Not much I can do about the smart a$$ remarks from coworkers other than to remind them who the boss is.
