TBR7 Digital Speedo Help Needed

I purchased a new digital speedo from hawkclusters@gmail.com. The product is beautiful and I am glad to have it. Instructions for installation are great for a Hawk 250 2016 and before, wire for wire. But I have a 2019 (newest version) TBR7, and the wiring is so very different.

I need help adapting the wiring from the Digital Speedo designed for the Hawk, to my TBR7.

Have any of you made the adaption yet? If so, can your help? Do you know anything about the wiring of the the hawk or the TRB7 so I can work on an adaption myself?

You’ll need to de pin and repin

As long as the connectors are compatible you just have to move the pins. Take a voltmeter and double check the color coding, unpin one side and make it match the other.

colors all the same - pins might be in wrong place if Matt didn't change it on main connecting and you will need to depin the gear switch and use long wires etc

I have sold a few dozen to TBR Owners and they have made them work. I don't have access to a TBR anywhere near me to test fit. The pinout needs to be as below.

For your reference, from the back of hawk cluster plug where the wires go into the plug, Lock tab facing up it's:

(lock tab)

Lt Blue Orange Green

Brown Yellow Dk Blue

Grn/Red (empty) Black

Here’s a few links to a better version

Pinned to your requirements and very flexible to accuracy for many wheels as it’s calibrated by you ti the tire circumference

Did anyone ever get some better instructions for this speedometer for a tbr7 I purchased on eBay, no instructions and setup for a hawk. There’s also a purple round terminal with the gear terminals I don’t know where to plug. Can anyone please help with instruction they know work? I tried another forum that lists the tbr7 but only got headlight and blinker to work :(

Did you get it from Nzbrakelathes on ebay? if so let him know, he will help you out. If not make some jumper wires and pin out each side, then repin the pig tails to match. If you have an el'cheapo test light it will be a bit simpler.

I got it from a seller on eBay named alyanddrew. I messaged them but haven’t gotten anything back.

I was hoping to not have to test each pin, but I guess if I have to :( I’m just not sure where this purple peg terminal goes I’ll have to see what it lights up and look at the diagram of the bike.

Thanks for the help!

if its with the gear harness it might be the neutral wire. Put power to the cluster and ground that wire, see if the neutral lights up.
