The most common reason is having too much oil in the crankcase. The oil level should be no more than halfway up the glass on the right side of the crankcase. The bike must be straight up vertical when checking oil. The next reason is too much air pressure in the crankcase. If your bike is broken in (500 0r more miles. Or 900 kilometers. Your bike's odometer reads in km's). That's unlikely. I'm in favor of a PCV in that line. Install it so that the air comes out of the crankcase, but won't go back in. This reduces crankcase "panting", and reduces the oil being pumped out. Then you can run the air line so that it drips on the chain, after it comes out of the PCV...ARH

Even with the things mentioned above ^ you will still see a small buildup of oil over time. It is just the way of things. Oil in an engine to some small degree gets turned into a vapor/mist of sorts during normal engine operation. There are ways to reduce it reaching places you don't want it to go, but it will still happen.

An alternative to a PCV valve mentioned by ARH would be some sort of oil catch can/breather setup. Either solution will work, but the PCV is a much simpler one to do,

or put a cover on where it was designed to go but the chinaman decided it wasnt needed. maybe chinaman thinks air filter should be oiled. the cover makes the vapor turn a couple times and the oil ends up on the wall of the air box and drains back down into engine or into the intake. shouldnt be a lot of oil though. if there is a lot then you over filled probably cause the manual calls for 1.6 quarts and chinaman is wrong again its just barley over a quart to fill it to correct level. like everyone else said check sight glass when level.
