Took a ride on my Hawk Saturday and went meet up with one of our new Chinarider member and showed him the Hawk. I think he's hooked lol. Hey Frank , Hurry up, Need a riding buddy.
Now that it has warmed up my Hawk is running a little rich. I could barely get 67 mph out of her and was starting to cut out at the higher rpm's. So I got up Sunday morning, Adjusted the valves ( They were a little tight) and dropped down to a 115 jet. (Really needs a 117.5 but didn't have one). I took a 94 mile ride and what a difference. I hit 76mph but had to slow down. The wind was blowing pretty hard and got a little scary.

As much as I like the Hawk in black, it didn’t have any depth. So, between rides I masked the plastics off and added some trim color.

I'm at about 4000 miles and I needed to change the oil. So I changed it. The bike is barely using any.

Also checked the valves. They still havent moved since I set them after break in, which really surprised me.

What Did You Do to your Chinese Bike Today?

I did the following today to my Brozz Recon 250:
- changed oil at 120 miles to Shell Rotella T4
- Fabricated a bracket bracing for the floppy tail-light/plate assembly
- fixed digital dash turn signal connector which had a bent pin from the factory
- drilled another 4 holes in the stock exhaust back plate for a total of 8 1/4" holes.. increased sound over stock by a good 30% and is nice to hear the exhaust now when revved over the click/clack of the engine.. not loud at all but an improvement and best of all free.

Put an end to the leaking gas cap when I fill a little more than maybe i should. Made in Japan doesn't leak. Crazy though that they are so similar. Japan part on the left.

Gas cap on your Brozz? Looks different than my recon cap. The 19' caps are not the same as a 20' model?

Changed the headlight (SO bright!), the rear light cluster, built a new leather seat (in which I installed the rear lights! ...photos to come), replaced the side indicators (which also double up as running lights) and then ripped her around town for lunch! She's lookin fiiiiine (https://www.instagram.com/p/CHnwV8lAnea/)

Thanks. Yes i am quite pleased with its shape, and how it matches the contours of the tail rack perfectly, making it look like it belongs there.
I wanted something minimalist and sleek and this one is highly recommended for that purpose and especially at the price point, cant go wrong
