Skyteam Raptor Rider from Munich/Germany

Hi Guys,

now its time to introduce myself properly. My Name is Michael, i am 41 years old and i live in Munich. My Raptor arrived yesterday and i took it for a ride today and i have to say i am quite surprised. It feels like a real motorbike. I ordered some parts in Japan. A new front-fender, a flat seat and a Beam SS-300 sonic exhaust.
The new front-fender looks quite nice. I didnt like the look of the original seat and the way it reaches half over the fuel-tank but i think the flat-seat is very hard and my bum hurts after a few miles. Now there is the problem with the little notch for the original seat which might rip my balls off in case of an accident, so i bought a used fuel-tank from the original vanvan without the notch and the tank will arrive tomorrow hopefully.
I decided not to install the new Exhaust-system because its not street-legal in germany and there is no messin`around with the cops in munich and the german TÜV.
So the exhaust is now for sale on ebay.
i also ordered a dragbar, lets see how it looks.

Hi Michael,
Welcome to this forum. The chrome fender and the seat looks nice. Did you have to pay any customs charges and VAT? (Zoll und Mwst.). Btw, your soccer team beat us tonight. That should tell you in what city I live in :-). Thats ok with me though. I'm more into Motorcyles then soccer.

Eric,

Nice work - love the new tank. Did you need to modify the new seat and tank to fit them or are the mounting the same as on the Van Vans?

i ordered the Tank on the german Ebay, its the original VanVan Tank. It fitted perfectly but there where some problems. The VanVan Tank had two holes , one for the Fuel-cock and another one of same size where originally the sensor for the fuel indicator was mounted. I bought a second fuel-cock to close this hole and i installed it with the valve facing backwards so i cant turn on the wrong one accidentially. I ordered the front-fender and the seat in Japan, they where originally made for the Suzuki VanVan an they fit perfectly.
