The 5 Best Distance Bikes Under 500 Pounds

Here's a link to an interesting thread on the 5 best distance bikes which weigh less than 500 pounds.

http://rideapart.com/2014/03/five-be...-bikes-500lbs/

I really like the new, Honda CB500X.

I was aware of the Suzuki V-Strom 650 and the Kawasaki Versys.

However, I was pleased to learn of the Ducati Hyperstrada and Triumph Tiger 800 XC.

I enjoyed that article too.

I did not know the Triumph was so light. I love it's 'openness' and sparse bodywork ane exposed frame.

Also, the Triple sounds nice. As one would expect it had aural features of a Ducati and a GSXR, leaning towards the twin. It is unique and soulful and interesting.

As you know, I like interesting.

The performance of that Ducati is of course awesome, but I think it's a pretty expensive item.

I also like the Honda. Honda is resetting the whole concept of value, practicality, and utility in the modern motorcycle market.

The Kawasaki is a great bike, but as long as looks count I can't live with it. They look even funkier in person than they do in pictures.

The experience is worth double the cost.

The homecoming queen and the president of the high school chess club can both accomplish the same mission, but the execution of the mission is very, very different ;-)
