Today was an offroad day...

So RX took part in it along DRs and Honda Ba'ja and derbi offroad machines..

AND I LOVED IT....

I now have a concurent side to side experience of how different an adventure bike can be from a dedicated daul sports or an offroad bike..

I am glad that the results are way better then what I expected..

- RX shared same power response as its Japanese counter parts = 10/10
- RX was easy to maneuver even with bulge of instruments and non moving nose = 10/10
- Feul economy was good, and I had an edge of larger tank means I can play for longer time
- Cig lighter and charger is built in so I was able to feed some energy to dying cell and cam.

The down sides#
- LOW ground clearance its hardly 8' and decrease even further on weight
- The Stock tires # they tend to kill you even on road. (is any one else also annoyed by there "no grip at all" ??? )
- Rear brake Locking # the rear Disc is to much sensitive, it tends to lock the wheel by slightest push... I recovered it from skiding like couple of time when used the rear brake.. I dont know how can I soft its response..

I know I am comparing oranges with apples.. but I wanted this to be done so I knw the RX3 bench marks..

That looks AWESOME! Glad to see the RX3 pulled its weight!

I've had no problems with the stock tires. On my roads here, they grip very well. I don't do what you've done there though. The most off-road I get with the RX3 is gravel roads.

The tires skid on road as well special when wet, and if rear brake is applied...

the rear wheel locks immediately and the wheel loses traction completely... which is not very good... will need tires with good hold.. at least on asphalt..

I know some early RX3's in USA had faulty batteries, be working fine one day and dead the next. Is your battery stock and did any lights come on? The battery would be the first thing I check. I think it's fairly common for Chinese bikes to have bad batteries, I suspect the batteries plates get damaged from shipping. Under the seat at the back is the fuel pump relay and 2 fuses. The bigger fuse is the main fuse the smaller is the fuel pump fuse. That's the second place I'd look for issues.

Recent Trip to Sharda <> JhalKad (Himalaya)

The total offroad very high altitude track b/w the remote town Sharda in Himalaya to Jhalkad another remote town in Karakorum connects to large mountain ranges...

The Carby bikes went all breathless at high altitude... I on other had did not had any issue with oxygen but I was exhausted in off-road due to weight I was carrying and RX3 being itself quite bulky and heavy...

received some more pics from a rider who went along.. sharing with riders here..

vickytulla , wow, your really putting your RX3 through its paces. Very beautiful area you were riding in. I think most of us dream about riding where you guys went.
Good to hear the RX3 managed it well. I think water crossings can effect any bike if water gets into where it shouldn't. Stay safe and enjoy the freedom your RX3 gives you. I know I do, RJ

I originally made this thread because in start I did not expected from a ADV bike to perform or keep up with Dirt Bikes and dual sports...

But later on I realized that keeping up or atleast staying behind them on offroads was a good compromise when I was the fastest cruising and comfortable in long High way stretches which we have to cover untill we see mountains...

Also I also learnt that ADV bike requires different type of handling then a dirt bike or a daul sports... I followed few of the videos from Clinton Smout and Tylor from "everRide" (they guy who actually hates RX3) but is an amazing offroader..

RX3 gives excellent top speed in 250cc category, and I am using a 13T front sprocket to keep up with daul sports in offroads as well.

I get best mileage and never found it getting suffocated in highest peaks and mountain passes of Himalaya.

i did got a bad patch of experience when its feul pump went dead... but now its back again... its going good (Y)

you are not alone ... I took two flips to reach to this point and I left it here and trekked to the top from here..

Decent was even worse as I had no traction...
