Oh okay, I've watched easily 10-15+ videos on the bike both before and after buying and no one has ever mentioned either of those upgrades lol. So you're saying I don't really need a performance carb until/if I do those?
I was planning on following this video:
Simply because it seemed easy enough and upgrades both the Carb and air filter nicely, for like $115 bucks. Would this carb be overkill with just sprockets, chain and exhaust upgraded?
You should be ok with the regular nut and lock washer for now. Just make sure it is torqued properly.

The Nibbi 30mm is overkill for this motor, especially without port work or a cam. The pe28 is a much better match and can provide aome benefit even with the basic upgrades. Even with port work and a cam I found the 30mm to be just a tad too big and it still suffered from too big carb problems, such as being very sensitive to atmospheric changes. The PE28FL bolts up to a stock manifold as well, so it has less headaches to overcome.

Nice, just road it for the first time, never left first gear, mostly just cruising at like 8 MPH practicing good riding techniques and such. 2 hours or so and the only hiccups were how long it took to actually warm up enough to idle (around 15-20 minutes or so) and the brake line rubbing the front tire when accelerating. Its is like 40 Degrees here today though.

Are you referring to this one?

Can you point me in the direction of a 105 that would fit the stock carb? Also, would I need to purchase and run a 105 in the PE28 as well? or would it change based on the different carb?
