qlink xf 200 looking for advice

Hey gents my name is Mark and I have been lured to chinariders after researching the Qlink xf 200. Im looking for advice as to who has the best price for this or any comperable models. I find out tomorrow if my bank is going to approve my loan for the black xf 200 in Pompano Beach Fl which is thirty minutes from where i am staying in Miami. Please... any advice or comments are welcome. Oh and the out the price is 2554.xx. I look forward to any comments

Hi Mark and welcome to the forum.

Thw Q's are highly regarded here as one of the best Chinabikes available, and they are well supported and well made.

With that said that price is too high, IMHO. My personal max on a CB is maybe $1,800 at the highest for a Q.

$2,600 around here would put you on a very very nice KLR250, KLX250, XR250, DR250-350 or an XT350 or any number of similar bikes.

Zongshen is HQ in Miami. I don't know if they sell bikes there but if they do I would look into that as well.

They are great bikes but that does seem a little high... I paid $2800 OTD for mine, that also included the supermoto and enduro wheel kit. Plus I'm in Canada where bikes are stupid expensive. I would think around 2K would be top price in the USA

Thanks for the replies guys. I have searched and searched but I can't find a dealer that will sell one for less except in Tennessee. And he would have to order it assemble then ship. The sticker is 2399. I will definitely check on the zongshens. Doc is that for a used bike or new on the alternatives

I see them all the time. That DR is a good bike, and has all the power a person would need for anything from dirt riding to the freeway.

I agree with FastDoc. Whenever the price of a new chinabike approaches $2,000, you are far better off to start looking for good deals on used, Japanese motorcycles. The QLink bikes are good motorcycles, but the bike you are considering is serverely overpiced at $2,500. 8O

OK thanks fastdoc. Unfortunately I'm going to finance the bike so it's gotta be new. I wish I could find the new 250 but apparently its yet to arrive. I tried JP mtsp but I think they closed or something anybody know?

Not too sure about the States, but for Canada I've heard that the 250 will be pushed back to spring or summer 2012. Bummer! :(

I'm sorry to report Zongshen America is no longer importing my 200GY-2 motorcycle. :( If you need to buy a new bike, I encourage you to keep looking for a better deal.

Well I found an XP 200 for 1999 plus titletagetc but I really want the xf. The dealer said it was a 2011 and it was green and black? I have never heard of that color scheme. And jp motorsports has two quinqi Q's 250 for 2900 but it is air cooled.

I believe the aircooled 250 is based on an excellent Suzuki TU250 motor.

JP Motorsports is worth dealing with, good reputation.

I'd recommend the XP over the XF every day of the week. Twice as versatile and that will benefit you when it comes time to resell. You can ride an XP on the street fine but an XF in the dirt, not so much. Plus the XP has better gearing for street use out of the box.

If you can swing $2,000 delivered I'd say maybe...

Given the choice I would also take the dual sport version vs the supermoto one... As doc said, it's much more versatile. 2K seems to be a much better price to me, though I have never seen a green and black one either, you would have to make sure it's the real McCoy . When you say green and black I think of the Henison bikes (or were they 250's?) and if I recall they had chronic transmission problems.

Interesting that the Q 250 is out in the States, I was told that the factory wasn't releasing till spring or summer now... Is that the dual sport 250 or the street bike version?

Again, 2K sounds much better, let us know what you decide!
