crate hawk was shipped in.... hmmm

Ok I saved the crate my hawk came shipped in because I like to weld and I always look for scrap metal. But I keep looking at the bottom piece of metal it was shipped in and it got me thinking today. I think I could fabricate a motorcycle trailer hitch carrier with a few more pieces of square stock. This weekend is going to be a little busy for me but I think next weekend I will give it a shot.

Are you referring to this ? http://www.harborfreight.com/400-lb-...ier-99721.html

I can't imagine that thin angle metal being nearly strong enough but maybe I just don't get it

That's a KLR650 they have on that 400lb Harbor Freight carrier!!! Impressive, but I thought every KLR650 owner know that those weigh more than 400lbs stock... without any fluids I can confirm a stock KLR is a hefty beast that's well over 400lbs
