Recommendations for Hawk 250 DLX Mods

Hey everyone, jumped into the chinese bikes and scooped up a hawk 250 dlx. I've done some simple mods such as replacement blinkers and quick clutch and front break levers. Looking to see if anyone can share some links to compatible cone air intake that's plug and play and an led bulb replacement off amazon. Have new sprockets to swap out in the near future.

Is there any other easy performance mods I should be thinking about? Also love any pics of mods of your 250 you'd like to share!

Welcome to the forum. My bike was pre-owned and many of the basic mods were done already. A simple one that I was very happy with was changing out the crappy plastic rear brake light switch for a hydraulic banjo bolt switch that mounts to the master cylinder.its more reliable and durable and also cleans up the side of the bike.

I haven't mastered picture posting or links. Pics are blurry, links never link to intended sites. Important detail for the banjo bolt switch is 10 x 1.25mm. I got the pictured one from Amazon for $10-$15. It's plug n play, but you'll need to bleed the brakes afterward.

You should upgrade to a better chain, and rear sprocket studs, and just go ahead and install them why you do your sprocket change. Honda studs are worth the peace of mind, and while many, if not most use the Niche XRing Gold chain , which is Chinese, but still pretty good, there are other options as well . I will say that I was very disappointed in the JT non sealed chain that I had . Some seem to be pleased with them though. https://www.adeptpowersports.com/oem...-940-part.html

Sounds like my next upgrade. If you get a chance, can you paste the link?

I installed https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06W2MX1ZR...t_details&th=1
Upgraded to waterproof connectors and backfilled with dielectric grease and it works perfectly! VERY happy with the switch. I also upgraded to braided lines. Much better response now.
