Trail Master TM 38EX EFI

Okay, so all this talk about the Trail Master TM 38EX EFI has peeked my interest. So the TM 38EX EFI will come with everything you need to technically register and tag as a street legal bike in most states just like I did with the Hawk. A 31 HP, 6 speed bike sounds good to me. The only problem I have seen is that most of the dealers that sell them aren't the most trust worthy dealers. I know I wouldn't buy from them. I got to be good friends with the guys at Venom Motorsports over the years. They have been awesome at taking care of people if they have had any issues and they have made it a point to take extra care of members here. I want to get the TM 38EX but not from the clowns that are selling them. I contacted one of the guys at Venom to see if they would be selling these bikes. They didn't know it existed and really like the bike. So, just a heads up, They plan on getting a few in January to see how they sell. I guess I'll be buying me one. I'm thinking this will be like the KPX on steroids. lol Who else wants one?

This is definitely the type of bike I'm always interested in. 300cc, EFI, 31 HP and 6 speed. Awesome combo of power, off-road capability, and flickability. I've been looking at these, but haven't considered a purchase because of the current sellers being horrible from what I understand from others.

Same here. To nice of a bike to be only sold through crappy dealers. That's why I contacted Venom to see if they would sell them. I'm sure there are some mom and pop shops that have good service. None nowhere near me.

FamilyGoKarts or Motobuys might also offer them.

Personally, I prefer a carburetor. I want to avoid the nightmare troubleshooting with no support. I'd rather have control over air/fuel mixing and a carb is easy to tune. EFI runs too lean for me.

I have been lookin' at the carbed TM38, but really wanted a KAMAX 250MT. It's a Chinese 2 stroke built on a Yamaha 230cc power valve engine clone. I just couldn't convince myself to order one directly from the factory. You can't count on the shippers.

But I finally found a 2 stroke... a nice deal/closeout on a leftover 2020 KTM 250sx with a liquid cooled 249cc engine.

The bike weighs under 220 pounds. It has Brembo hydraulics (including the clutch), braided stainless lines, 4 piston front, and 2 piston rear calipers (Brembo), Takasago wheels shod with Dunlop Geomax tires, an x-ring 520 chain, massive ultralight pneumatic forks with over 12" of travel, linkage rear suspension with long travel. It came with spare jets, a spare needle with different taper, 2 alternative power valve springs, an air pump for the front forks, complete printed manual book, and a stand!

It cost me a little more than the TM38 (but more than a $3000 discount below original MSRP). That's a long list of high end components, and the center of gravity on this bike is a few inches lower... no cam, no valves. It is a monster

I added this to my signature a couple of days ago- just one line, so no one noticed

So I finally found something truly right for me... a remarkable deal on a N.O.S. (new old stock) closeout on a new 2020 KTM 250sx with a liquid cooled 249cc engine.

This bike actually weighs under 220 pounds and makes 50hp. It also has brembo hydraulics (including the clutch!) with braided stainless lines, 4 piston front, and 2 piston rear calipers (Brembo), Takasago wheels shod with Dunlop Geomax tires, an x-ring 520 chain, massive ultralight adjustable pneumatic forks with over 12" of travel, linkage rear suspension with similar long travel. It came with spare jets (5 pilot, 4 main), a spare needle with different taper (5 clip positions), TWO alternate power valve springs, a pump for the front forks, complete printed manual book, and a stand!

It cost me a little more than the TM38, but that's a long list of high end components, and the center of gravity on this bike is a few inches lower... no cam, no valves!

Yeah, there's nothing like the power of a 2 stroke.

It was a fluke stumbling into the 250sx, and I just couldn't let it slip away. Before I saw it, I wasn't planning on getting a bike just yet. It is a bit excessive, but I got full support from my wife, so full steam ahead

I would have eventually gotten the TM38. It is a great bike. I am absolutely sure youo will love it!

I really love that 298cc liquid cooled ZS NC300. I will never be able to create that power band on my "old" ZS172FMM-3A (original Templar!). But it is still a great bike. I will port the head and upgrade to 265cc (parts in hand), maybe do something about the exhaust. I've already got the variable ignition advance CDI unit.

Maybe I can close in on 25hp lol

And this is why you don't order your bike assembled from some of those other dealers. Good enough video to get the general idea how it goes together but i wouldn't trust my life on that bike assembly job.
