What is this cable for?

It was located in the brake lever system. Does this keep the quad from turning on? Thanks in advance

yes you can bypass it....
but your answer brings up another thought..
the motor dose not crank over ?...
then maybe it's a saftey the motor will only crank
if the brake is pulled...
the 2 metal plates on the end of the wires try them
touching each other & not touching... see if it cranks
one way & not the other...

Yes, tried both ways ( touching ends together and ends desperate) and still won't crank. Used to crank fine before this happened. Any other ideas?

safety switch

yes these wires go into the brake lever... they have been pulled out... hook them together this will let power go to the starting switch on the left... to allow it to start.... it gets it power from the fuse at the positive battery and the ignition switch wiring... if the brake light works.. it will light up... when connected together and the key is on... then if all else works,..,,, start /stop switch... solenoid .. starter... then it will turn over and then you only need SPARK AND GAS to the motor.. there might be one on the left brake system if you have hydraulic hand brakes .. small mirco switch there
