ATV Discounter did it again..

After beating it out of them I just got the title in the mail, So okay everyone knows how I bought a GY5 and got a GY2. Well today I was looking at the Title or C.O.O and something is very wrong.

The vin number is correct BUT it says for Series/Model LF200cc GY-5 and for year it says 2008.

Am I missing something here.... 8O

The bike says on the swing arm 2006 GY2. Do they own a time machine!?

I would try to get this past the DMV; remember the GY-5 is the EPA/DOT certified model for on-road legality in 49 states (no Californians need apply). I would consider a lawsuit later for fraud/misrepresentation, but take care of the registering first.

Yea I was thinking about that, pretending it is a GY5 would be beneficial for registering purposes but wow how can they forge documents, something is really screwed up here

Also it is dated 3/10/08 you'll have to pay a penalty for being a month past due.I would not register it as titled you would be liable for fraud as well.Report it to DMV in your state as well as contact the attorney general. This is not taken lightly by the Feds.as well as state governments.

The VIN# will come back as an 06 model also.

I didn't think of this part; that he could be liable for fraud.

I doubt if he'd be liable since everything he has came from ATVdiscounter.
But if the VIN comes back as a 2006, he might be SOL on getting a tag... x2 on that because the MSO says DIRTBIKE and not motorcycle.

I'd try to get it tagged... just keep quiet at the DMV and not ask any questions that would make them take a close look. If they catch anything, act dumb!

Just curious...but have you made any effort to contact ATVD and discuss this with them?

Or did you simply come here and post?

Like others have said, in a nutshell the document is not correct and THEY (ATVD) are the ones who did it and you if you do it right can sting them a bit by their own sloppy lazy business practices they have so willingly accepted to use.

That will indeed come back as an 06 (10th digit in vin) model is not correct although it is labeled as three models right on the bikes sticker but that could be argued and won.

I would give ATVD one last chance to make it legally correct or you'll just have to take care of it and then go report it to the proper authority who knows and can deal with it severely.

You know what just scratch that last part and burn-em if you can they dont deserve any less.
