Boom Vader / XPRO Vader hose came disconnected

Hi I'm new to this forum and to bikes as a whole, but have been working on cars for a while now. I just bought a XPRO Vader 125CC (same thing as Boom Vader) and when I finished putting it together, I noticed a hose was disconnected. It appears to come off of the black case (assuming the transmission), so I figured it was a pressure relief hose. I ran it to the black box at the front of the bike (assuming its the airbox). The bikes runs and starts okay, but I wanted to make sure I had it connected correctly. The hose was hanging off to the left of the bike when I saw it. Thanks in advance!

I don’t own that bike so this is just transmission breathers in general.

The breather vent hose for the transmission, if that’s what you have there, would not be connected to anything. The vent is used by the transmission to create an equilibrium of barometric pressure internally. Failure of the breather assembly can lead to pressure buildup inside a transmission and further lead to leakage from transmission oil seals.

I have a Boom Vader, and did the carb upgrade already so the only hose I left remaining is the crankcase breather hose ( https://mymotorcycleblog.com/boom-va...cc-grom-clone/ ).

IMHO:

Point is, if you have not done any upgrades, which it looks like, if you found a disconnected hose coming from the engine case, and found a open plastic nipple on the air box without a hose, you might have done a great job deducing how to fix it. I suspect if it's a was the straight hose from the crankcase, it was the vent.

You might not have any worries.

Except that stock chain, those stock engine mount bolts, oh and the stock carb that likes to just drop its fuel bowl dumping gasoline and leaving you on the side of the road, etc..... oh sorry having flashbacks. I'm sure you will be ok.

Congrats on the bike, I love my Boom Vader, did very minor upgrades and replacements of parts for better material and the bike is fun.

hth,
