So far I have worked to dial in the Progressive Suspension shock but have not gotten much sag. I intend to totally back off on the preload just to see what the max sag might be via preload. If that's not enough I think I need a softer spring. But, first, I need to know what the total travel is on the rear.

Any info most appreciated.

Fork travel: 5.1 inches
Stock shock travel. 5.6 inches

However, you want the travel for the Progressive shock absorber, which is 6.3 inches.

Thanks Spud. I'm more interested in the travel of the rear wheel vs the shock travel. The rear suspension linkage will come into play so 1" of travel on the shock won't equal 1" of rear axle movement. If 142mm is the rear axle movement I'm looking for about 30% of that for laden sag. That means about 42mm of sag when I'm sitting on the bike. Right now I'm well shy of that mark. On the front end I'm not sure how I can make much of an adjustment since there is no adjustment for preload. This will be an experiment to balance spring tension, rider weight, and shock adjustment...should be fun.

You're welcome. You are wise to properly adjust the laden sag of your shock absorber. The shock won't perform optimally without this adjustment.

From Zongshen RX3 Owners manual

Stroke of front shock absorber 130 mm
Free length of front shock absorber spring 425 mm
Stroke of rear shock absorber 45 mm
Free length of rear shock absorber spring 235 mm

I remember seeing Spud's numbers somewhere,

as being suspension travel.

Congrats sister! I will have to get my camera charged for this big event. I cannot wait! And it could not have come at a better time. My HD needs new lifters, rods and chain tensioners. So the RX3 will get tons of love this summer. I am super stoked! Can't wait to see pics of your bike. I bought the orange one.

Out messing around with a Tascam DR-40 to capture how the bike actually sounds when riding vs all the horrible audio on most action cameras, here's the end result.

You guys can probably see why my MPG average is 53, I'm pretty sure the throttle has two settings, on/off.
