MY HEAT WENT OUT!! 3 year old house. Rats!

The blower motor died. The compartment heated up and cooked a wiring harness and the computer board. I replaced the motor ($1,100 for just the part, wholesale, with me putting it in!?) and the furnace dude replaced the electrics.

I could have bought a nice Chinabike with what this somebeech cost me and would have had some fun.

Space heaters and temps in the mid 50's in my home since New Years.

When I get home from work, God willing, will be working.
Good luck Doc!
We just had a new unit and ductwork installed after 5 years of it being down. Thanks the Dear Lord for seasoned oak and pellets.....

That's a nice simple technology and you won't freeze. Good to have a backup.

With all of this cold weather, snow blowing and shoveling I seem to have acute Phelps face including the goggle marks when I come back into the house. It doesn't take long when it's -15 or lower before things start to freeze.

Jeez, it's been so cold and dry here that we had to fire up the second humidifier. Mrs.C and I both are plugged up and our lips are ready to fall off. I guess this stuff is supposed to break late Sunday with temps almost to freezing on Monday. It will be almost balmy.

I think if I smashed through the door like the Kool-Aid man and said "oh yeah!" It would scare people just as much as "here's Johnny".

My axe is in the shed and all of my good digging shovels that I would need to get it are also in that shed so that option is out.

You guys are funny. It took 5 tries to get one picture with the flash. The shed is only about 25 feet away and behind the boat. I can't get passed Snoopy or what that looks like attacking my lawn and leaf can.

For those of us fortunate enough to be able to ride year round, this is interesting...

I'm the guy in the middle with the small rectangle house. The south part of the house is the back entryway and shop. My boat is in the driveway and the shed is to the right. Big lot and a tiny house.

First break in the weather for over a week, so I took the TT250 on the commute.

I had an inaspicious start by slipping in the parking lot while walking to the bike. It turns out despite the temperature staying around 40 all night there's enough chill in the ground to cause black ice. Undeterred by a healthy dose of optimism (stupidity) I decided to give it a go as the weather was so pleasant.

No problems at all, not even one little slip, and it was very slippery. The hardest part was getting the bike started after a week in the cold.
