if she is running good with the stock carb back on, then run it for winter when the riding is limited. then once the weather gets within normal range throw the upgraded carb back on and start fresh..

but take your time making a plate to correct the carb alignment, get the right tools (harbor freight is now your best friend, "china tools for china bikes") and take youre time then when you finish you will have a nice cleanly made part. welcome to fabrication..

a metric tap & dye kit should be the first tool you buy, for mine for less then 20 bucks at hf. you can fix stripped out thread holes, bolt threads and if you drill a hole and need to thread it for a bolt you can do that to..

um i run the exact same tire as the gbc ground buster.. its much wider then the stock rear tires.. but i love this tire, its got good all around bite even in light to moderate mud.. odds are i will always choose this tire when i need a new one.. but you should either get another set of rims for the front and rear and get winter/mud tires and then summer tires. or try and find a tire that will do a decent job in the weather conditions you ride in..

ok i run the gbc ground buster tire, size is 20x11.00-8.. there is a seller on ebay if you do a search for gbc ground buster 20x11.00-8. with shipping it comes to $65-$75 a tire

Frozen parking lots sure can be fun can't they Everyone should practice in parking lots, I bet if everyone did they would be better prepared to handle their vehicle when road conditions aren't optimal.

IF we get any more snow this winter I like going nuts on the ATV. :P

The Vette will NOT see snow. I don't even take it out in the rain!

The pickup is 4WD, and I do practice controlling it in spins and slides and the like in untravelled areas if we get snow.

Yeah the corvette would probably not be a good one to practice with in the icy parking lots 8O

Not for long....

The 3 inches of ground clearance would be an issue, as also the 285mm wide summer tires, etc. etc. etc.

See my post about Homemade Traction. I was pondering getting some better tires, now I don't need to worry about it til spring.
