Yes I have to do the same thing with my 2021 tbr7. Turn idle screw in to start, I let it run for a few and ride the bike. usually after about 10min if I come to a stop the engine is at a very high idle, so I have to turn it down when warmed up.

Not yet a hundred miles and am waiting for a carb now. My apollo dirt bikes have all started and ran great but for some reason the TBR is just a cold starter.
