Make sure to spray brake clean and wipe down the brake rotors before you brake on it; otherwise that oil will cook into the pads and glaze them up, braking won't be for crap.

And in case you hadn't read it or known already, drain the "oil" and put good SF/SG grade non-energy conserving oil into it before you even start the engine.

Other than the loctite you mentioned, and adjusting literally everything, including the valves (they are often set to 0 lash, and need to be 0.05mm/0.002-0.003"), you should be good to go!
I just bought a Magician, is there a specific type of oil you recommend?

Most including myself use and are very happy with Shell Rotella T4 15W40 although ill prob swap to T6 (the synthetic version) once i run out after mention of it providing smoother shifts

I ran castrol 10 40 in mine. Seemed fine.

Motorcycle oil or regular car/ motor oil?

You will kill the clutch not running motorcycle oil, or diesel engine oil such as rotella with a jaso ma rating.

Obviously motorcycle oil.

I'm running yamalube in my wr. Thinking about trying some Blud oil in it. I have their shock oil and I dig it thus far.
