I'm looking forward to seeing this installed on Will.

Still waiting on a buddy to help finish cutting/re-welding the exhaust (he is getting a TIG welder soon) ... so in the mean time I got bored and tore apart the old "PZ30" carburetor...

Tools needed: a Dremel tool or Saw Blade, 7mm wrench, and a flat head screwdriver.

Cut a straight line in those dumb 'broken off security screws' and remove with the screwdriver. The 7mm wrench is if you need to remove the Main Jet for any reason

Main Jet = 108
Pilot Jet* = 34

*Pilot Jet is an "odd" one I can't seem to find, it's ~13mm long, ~5mm width, and ~6mm thread width... might be similar to the PZ26, but that is ~11mm long, ~5mm width, ~6mm thread width...

Nice to know those are plane old screw in jets behind those security screws. Good fact finding az . You tampered with it, now your in trouble just like those upholstery tags you're not supposed to take off!

That's exactly why I switch to Mikuni carbs. I've had trouble finding jets for some of the Keihin clones.

Hehe WY accepted our Bashan

Guess who's officially street legal?!?!? That's right we are

I wondered why the Mrs. was really late getting home from work, come to find out she got the correct paperwork and was just up the road from work getting WY plates

Things she needed:
A Notarized MCO/MSO in both states (TX and WY in this case)
VIN Inspection by 'local authority' (we called a Sheriff to come check it out)
Pictures of the EPA/DOT 'Highway Legal' Plates/Stickers/Smog info on the Frame of the bike
And the most important part is... getting the right person behind the counter... if you get the 'super old b*' behind the counter like I did... you will need all the proof in the world to get from one place to the next... and the next place is usually back to your car/house with nothing but frustration and a headache

But if you are like the Mrs. (and have her kind of 'luck')... you will walk in... get a young helpful lady/guy that is still happy/grateful to be alive and working... and you will get in and out of the place with plates in under an hour

Total cost:
$15 for the Title
~$76 for the State Tax
~$36 for Registration
= $127

Sooo, who wants to go for a ride?

I find it's just sending in a woman to do the job. My wife has gotten away with a ton more in these situations. I think they "smell" the attitude on a man, who of course is expecting a hassle and immanent disaster.
Congrats! Legal is a good thing!

Ps, that is a really nice rear shot of the Will bike. I would have those blinkers shattered in no time I need steel cages for mine. Nice design of the tail/brake light ! That plastic doesn't look so sun faded as you previously said, I guess you got it polished up nice. Looks good.

The dremail sawdisk is the perfect tool to make a flap opening in the head pipe to remove the catalytic converterror material in the header pipe.

oh wait I see that replacement is part of your weight/ flow plan, I left this post here in case it serves as a idea for removing the cat material.

Started to strip those cheap/soft as butter screws on the Mikuni Carb, so I stopped by Menards and picked up 4 Button Head Screws . Also got the K&N Fuel Filters in

I recommend stainless socket head cap screws. I hope they caught that Phillips guy.

I find on ANY carb, the very first time I try to loosen the bowl screws from the factory, I've just learned to grab them with my small Vise Grips first to crack them loose. Works every time and keeps one from stripping the Phillips heads.
